Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what data the AntKeeper application ("the Application") collects, why, who it is shared with, and what your rights are.
Data Controller
The Application is published by Almana-cc, the controller of your data. For any question: dev@almana.cc
Data We Collect
Account
Your email address and password, managed by Firebase Authentication (the password is never stored in plain text), or your Google or Apple identifier if you sign in with those services.
Keeping Data
Your colonies, events, notes, reminders and the photos you add to them.
Social Network
If you enable the social network:
- your public profile: display name, bio and profile picture;
- the colonies you make public, your comments and your likes;
- your friend requests and the users you block;
- your private messages: text, photos and voice messages.
Swarm Map
When you report a nuptial flight: the chosen location, the species, the description and the photos. These reports are visible to other signed-in users.
Content Reports
When you report content or a user: the reason, your details, a copy of the reported content and, for a conversation, its latest messages, as well as any screenshots you attach.
Subscription
Your subscription status and history, provided by the App Store or Google Play. We never receive your payment details.
Technical Data
Your device model, system and Application versions, the token used to send you notifications, crash reports, and usage statistics linked to your account identifier.
Device Permissions
The Application only asks for a permission when you use the feature that needs it:
- Camera and photos: add photos to your colonies, events, messages and reports.
- Microphone: record a voice message.
- Location: center the swarm map or place a report on it. It is never tracked in the background.
- Notifications: send you your reminders and social network activity.
How We Use Your Data
- Providing the Application and its features, including the social network (performance of the contract).
- Managing your subscription (performance of the contract).
- Moderating content, handling reports and protecting users (legitimate interest and legal obligations).
- Measuring usage, fixing crashes and improving the Application (legitimate interest).
What Other Users Can See
Your public profile, public colonies, comments and swarm reports are visible to other signed-in users. Your private messages can only be read by the participants of the conversation. When content is reported, it is sent to the moderation team.
Service Providers
We do not sell your data. It is processed by the following providers, solely to run the Application:
- Google Firebase: authentication, database, file storage and server functions.
- Google and Apple: sign-in with your Google or Apple account.
- RevenueCat: subscription management.
- Sentry: crash reports.
- PostHog (servers in the European Union): usage statistics.
- Expo: notification delivery.
- Algolia: species search.
- Resend: moderation emails.
Transfers Outside the European Union
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Union, notably in the United States. These transfers rely on the safeguards provided by the GDPR, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the Data Privacy Framework.
Retention
Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account from Settings, your colonies, events and profile are deleted. Messages, comments and swarm reports you have already posted may remain: write to us to have them erased as well. Content reports are kept for as long as needed to handle them and any appeal.
Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your data. To exercise these rights, or if deletion from the Application fails, write to dev@almana.cc. You may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL: www.cnil.fr).
Security
Your data is protected by strict access rules: your private data is accessible only to you. As no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes
We may update this Policy. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page.
